“Maria Eichhorn creates the conditions necessary for complex events, to address socially and politically relevant content, but also to question the autonomy of an artwork and its authorship. Eichhorn’s projects are often meant to run for longer periods of time. In order to realize her works, she cooperates with people from other disciplines. Apart from contemplating the existence and value of an artwork, Eichhorn’s work also raises questions about the principles of a capitalist-oriented society.”
