Christopher Cozier

Christopher Cozier is a Trinidadian-born artist and writer. After a foundation course in art and design at the John Donaldson Technical Institute in Port of Spain, he studied for an MFA at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, New Brunswick and a BFA in painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art, USA. He was a Senior Research Fellow at the Academy of the University of Trinidad and Tobago (2007-2010), is a co-founderv of Alice Yard, Port of Spain, and serves on the editorial collective of Small Axe: a Caribbean Journal of Criticism. He has participated in many exhibitions focussed on contemporary art in the Caribbean and internationally, has co-curated several such exhibitions, and has published a range of essays on related issues.”
